This evaluation release of AFP Engage! is fully functional, but will expire on May 1, 1999. As indicated in the license agreement, you may evaluate AFP Engage! for up to 30 days.
Using AFP Engage! with specific applications
Netscape Navigator 3.0 and 3.0.1 have a bug such that they "forget" about AFP Engage! between sessions. That is, when you quit and relaunch Netscape 3.0 or 3.0.1, you will have to reregister AFP Engage! with Netscape. This bug can be fixed by making a specific modification to the Netscape Preferences file. To have AFP Engage! make that modification, be sure Netscape is not running, type command-shift-S in AFP Engage! and select "Fix Netscape 3 bug" from the Special menu that appears.
AFP Engage! will work with Eudora 3.0 or later if AFP URLs are enclosed in < >, for instance <afp://server-name/volume-name/>. To enable AFP URL processing in Eudora without the < >, be sure Eudora is not running, type command-shift-S in AFP Engage! and select "Teach Eudora about AFP" from the Special menu that appears.
Using AFP Engage! with Mac OS 8.5
Mac OS 8.5 ships with a built-in helper app (the "Network browser") for AFP URLs. Microsoft Internet Explorer and certain other applications (although not Netscape Navigator) use this configured helper app by default. To change the helper app to AFP Engage! use the Internet Control Panel's "Advanced" mode.

Known bugs with AFP Engage! 1.0

• If you are running two Web browsers at the same time and select the "Try to open with Web browser first" option, there is no way to indicate which Web browser will be used to open the a file.
